Honorary Planners/Coordinators: The Truth

Let’s just get real for a second or two. If you consider yourself to be a budget bride then I am sure you have heard these words “Wedding Planner? You don’t need a wedding planner your Aunt and I can take care of everything , save that money!”

Sounds familiar???? I am sure there are no birds chirping right now but instead your still trying to convince yourself that mom and your favorite aunt are right on this…………….afterall you just really don’t have the money in the budget to hire a planner….Right?

Okay stop talking to yourself and listen up. Honestly speaking you may very well be able to afford the peace of mind in having a wedding planner on your team throughout your year-long journey to plan your personal wedding or the fact of the matter may be that maybe you can’t afford a planner, but how do you know unless you make the effort to actually talk to a PROFESSIONAL wedding planner that makes it their 9 to 5 to plan weddings for a living.

We love honorary planners, they make some of the best help during the planning process and on the actual wedding day.Who else knows best which of your two cousins can’t sit on the same side of the room at the reception as well as Aunt Katherine and who better knows that the alcohol needs to stop flowing by 11pm before your favorite Uncle starts to take off more than just his suit jacket? Mom does. So we really love to work with these special women in your life to make your day a seamless success.

However, you owe it to yourself to at least seek the advice of a professional wedding planner who would really know if your wedding day budget and vision would allow you to have a planner who will be there to attend the vendor meeting with you, create a design theme, work on those never-ending projects that there never seems to be enough time to complete.

Plus did you know that there are plenty of options beyond hiring a full service wedding planner that can still get you the professional help you need at a fraction of the cost of a full service wedding planner?

  1. Terrific post! I’d like to add if I may, how it’s such a sad thing when couples who have small wedding budgets feel less deservant to have a wedding planner. This is something I hear a lot such as “wedding planners are for the rich and famous.” But if they would invest in at least a first consultation (small investment and sometimes free), how relieved they will feel knowing there are affordable alternatives to Full Service planning. I love your alternative plans and hope your couples in the area take advantage of meeting you. They will be in great hands.
